Who I am is not defined by what I do. I am constantly seeking new experiences, exploring new opportunities, and seeking my own definition. If I tried to define myself in words, I would write too much and still not feel content that I adequately conveyed myself. I am ever evolving and cognizant of my lack of knowledge, limits in understanding, and fallibility.
This site is where I share what I think, what I see, and what I perceive. I am willing to be wrong, but if I am accused of being wrong, I need to be told how to be right. I do not accept “opinions” as evidence, only facts and reasonable arguments. I will argue back, not to prove I’m right, but to understand why you believe what you do. I may change my mind or adjust my view; I respect those that can do likewise.
I do not know how to earn a living with my writing or with my talents, so I build things that I believe will allow me to use what I perceive are my strengths, talents, and skills. For me, starting businesses is the same as my art: I am creating and executing a vision. Sometimes I succeed, most of the time I do not, but each time I learn, assess, and adjust.
My use of APC with my name stands for two things: Artist, Philosopher, Cop. It can also mean what I believe are the motivations for my passion: Analysis, Persuasion, Creativity. I would like to earn a living being allowed to use these passions, until then, I share them here.
My favorite quote, which has saved my life:
“The basic difference between an ordinary man and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge while an ordinary man takes everything as a blessing or a curse.”― Carlos Castaneda
